‘Nallavan’ is a Malayalam movie being directed by a debutant Aji John ,a popular television producer and editor has been under shooting from 20th Jan,2010. The film casts Jayasuryia in a very different role. Mythili, the girl who debuted in the Mammootty-Renjith movie ‘Palery Manickyam- Oru Pathirkolapathakathinte Katha’ has bagged the female lead in the movie. The film is being produced by V.K Siyad under the banner of Veekay Cinemas,the cinematographer is Manoj Pillai and music Mohan Sithara. The movie is planned to be shot at Punaloor, Chennai, Thenkasi and Madurai.the other casts in the movie are Saikumar, Shammi Thilakan, Suraj, Salimkumar, Maniyanpilla Raju, Sudheesh, Bijukuttan.

About The Movie
Superstar Mammootty and veteran director Ranjith once again team up to bring back yet another superhit movie called “Paleri Manikyam“. They have worked together as a team for four films like Black, Kaiyoppu, Prajapathi and Nasrani.This will also be the first time that Ranjith is going to make a film that is not scripted by himself.
The film is also very special as several new faces will be introduced in the movie and that too stage performers as the movie needs a particular slang which can only be done by stage performers.
The movie is based on a novel as explained earlier. In the movie Mammootty is introduced as an officer who tries to solve a murder case that is almost 53 years old. A girl named Manikyam was brutally raped and also murdered on the 11th day of her marriage. But no one was able to find out the guilty person and so the case was closed. The incident took place in a place called “Paleri”, near Calicut. The director has decided to show a part of the life style of the early 1950’s. This was why he had to search out for professional stage performers as they were the only persons who could do those roles.
The movie will have it’s shooting in Paleri, Delhi and also some parts of Palakkad. The movie is expexted to release by the end of 2009.

She is getting married to a non-resident Keralite next month. Marriage has been fixed. Her would be is Merin Mathew who hails from Kollam. He is working in America as a Medical Biller. She divulged that they have been in love for the last two years and that now they have got consent from their parents. Merin is son of Mathew Vaidyan of Kollam Mainagapalli, Kadappa Merish Bhavan.
The engagement is on May 14 and marriage will be solemnised on 18 at Thevalakara St. Mary’s Orthodox Syrian Church. A reception will be held at Kakkanad, Thrikakara Bharat Matha college Auditorium for the members of the Cinema field and for her friends and relatives on May 19. Karthika’s original name is Lydia.
