Vinayan's new project Yakshiyum Njanum is progressing at Athirapilli.
Thilakan enacts the role of an Astrologer named Narayanji. Popular actress Megha Nair dons the role of ghost, Athira. Gautham dons the role of Syam, who loves Athira.
A host of new faces including Gautham, Ricky and Shanil are making their debut through this film. Nawas handles the camera. Eranakulam, Athirapilli, Kuttaalam, Kulathoopuzha are the locations.
Vinayan who has created many enemies in filmdom is famous for his one man army kind of films. Many of his hit films haven’t had a popular actor as hero. He brought Jayasurya and Kalabhavan Mani as hero.
His last film Naalai Namathey was in Tamil. It had Sanusha in the lead. Sanusha was then picked up for heroine role in film Renigunta.
This time Vinayan bring Jubin Raj into limelight as the antihero of the movie. Jubin is the son of late actor Rajan P Dev. Jubin Raj had earlier been a child artiste and has been active in theatre. The film will launch Sajan Madhav, the son of late musician Raveendran. Sajan tunes songs for this horror thriller and will also do the background score.
Yakshiyum Njanum is produced by Vinayan under his home banner Aakasha Ganga.
